GRAMMY AND PAPA KEITH

One of the best things about living where we do now is that Crystal's parents are closer to the Trioux and come for the weekend quite often. Good Times!

LEE & BOUDREAUX SOCIAL GATHERING

I know this update is WAY late, but we had such a great weekend that it took a while to go through all the pictures and narrow it down to just some that I could post, so as usual, there will be two or three posts today to make up for it.

This weekend was the first triplet play date that we have had, not including their birthday, since the Trioux has been old enough to actually enjoy a play date with other kids. The Lees agreed to come up to our place to have lunch and let the kids run around. It was so nice to have people over that fully understand what having triplets is all about. For example, understanding that at any given time, there is probably going to be one toddler pitching a fit or crying about something that someone else did to them. It makes for a loud household that we are used to and it was nice to not have to explain that its like that most of the time.

Unfortunately the weather was not to cooperative and we had to spend most of the time inside, but it didn’t seem to affect any of the kids. It took a little while, but all the kids started to warm up to each other and actually played together a little bit. We let them play for a while and then the men folk fired up the grill and cooked burgers for everyone. We cooked full size burgers for the adults and mini sliders for all the kids. As it usually goes for parents of multiples, the kids got to eat first and all the adults had to wait till they were done to eat. I know most of you out there can relate to that one!

Overall, it was a great time and I am looking forward to another get together with the Lees. Enjoy a few of the pictures!

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

I spent so much time getting ready for our triplet play date with the Lees from Three Lees and a Pod Plus the Little Sprout, that I didn't have time to take a picture of the Trioux, so I drummed up one from exactly one year ago for tonight's post. Lets hope that the weather holds up for tomorrow and we the kids can play outside. Either way, I am sure we will have a good time and have PLENTY of pictures. Stay Tuned!

BUDDY FRUIT = TODDLER CRACK!!!

I tend to think that the Trioux eats a pretty well balanced diet. At every meal, we try to give them a protein, a starch or carb, and a vegetable. For the most part, they love most food we put in front of them. It has taken Jack a while to warm up to vegetables but now he loves them as much as his beloved carbs. He has also started to eat more proteins and meats than he used to, so he is coming along nicely. Kate pretty much loves all food you put in front of her. She likes them all equally, but sometimes she gets a little picky and won't eat certain things at times. Addi, our usual protein girl has become somewhat of a vegetable feign! She can't get enough at dinner. All three are eating well except for one thing... Fruits!

For a little while, Kate and Addi loved berries. Raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, they couldn't shove them in fast enough. That wore off pretty soon and they didn't want them any more. Jack on the other hand would never eat them in the first place. They would all eat VERY small pieces of apple cut up, but only a few bites. We have tried whole bananas with them and they acted as if they were some sort of poison and wouldn't even touch them.

A few weeks ago, my mom was in the grocery store and saw these little juice tubes called buddy fruit. They are all natural, sugar and preservative free fruit blends in a squeeze tube for kids. She picked up a few to try and lets just say the rest is history! I am not sure if these things should be legal or not! The kids go completely nuts when they even see the package in the fridge. They literally sound like a pack of monkeys when you pull them out after dinner. Jack is the biggest addict of all. The kid that before now would not even try a piece of fruit can't get enough. Believe it or not, his favorite is Mango-Banana!

Here are a few pictures of the fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of them "All hopped up on "Buddy Fruit!"

PHONE PICTURES

These are the last of the pictures that I had on my phone after erasing the good ones!

I was able to pick up something new for the Trioux on Monday night. One of my childhood friends is in the process of moving back to the coast and was getting rid of her Step 2 Playhouse. I knew the Trioux would LOVE it, so I took it off her hands. Tuesday night was the first time they got to see it, and needless to say it is a HUGE hit. I had a bunch of pictures, but as the earlier post eluded to, I erased all of them and this is all that is left.
Here is Kate the first time she ventured into it! As most of you can guess, she is queen of the Castle!
This is the usual scene about five minutes before dinner time when I am by myself!

DADDY IS AN IDIOT!!!

I had SO many pictures to post for Monday and Tuesday, but while I was transferring them to my computer, I hit the wrong button and ERASED ALL of them!!! In the immortal words of Homer Simpson... DOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, now that I got that out of the way and warned you that the post for Monday and Tuesday will be bad camera phone shots, I am going to make them short and sweet and promise not to do that again!

Here is the only shot that I have from Monday that my Mom took on her iPhone just before they put the kids to bed on Monday. It is a very sweet one. Enjoy!!
