TRAVEL DAY!

While packing the Tahoe, I let the Trioux carry their Pea-Pods outside so they felt like they were helping. They carried them all the way from their room to the car. They really enjoyed helping daddy.

BIG FORKS

"Dad, I think we are ready for big forks now!" What a hot mess this little Trioux was last night. They saw mommy and daddy eating with "big" forks and wanted to give them a try. When we gave them the forks, they wouldn't give up theirs and wanted to use both.

FYI - I will be without the Trioux all next week as they will be on vacation with the Grandparents so updates will be a little late and I will be relying on them for daily pictures!

MORE COLLECTING

Jack got obsessed all of a sudden with collecting ALL the plastic bottles he could find. If he saw it, he HAD to have it. Nana even had to chug her Diet Pepsi so that he would calm down. Maybe we have a future leader in Recycling?

JACK'S BAG

Jack is what you might call a collector. He loves to search the house and find the most random objects and collect them. This afternoon, he found a grocery bag and finally had somewhere to stuff his findings and carry them around.

DISCLAIMER: Please don't turn me in to Child Protective Services for letting my child play with a plastic bag! I promise we were watching the whole time and had medical on standby in case of an emergency. We took all precautions necessary.

BAD KATE!

This is what happens to Addi when she makes Kate mad! NOT GOOD!

SHELL GAME

Looks like Jack is trying to make a little money on the side off of his sisters

POOL = SUMMER!!!

So last year, I found the be all end all of infant pools. That put a lot of pressure on me this year to top that one. I found this two piece model that I think the Trioux will like. It has a "deep" end and a shallow end, with a slide connecting the two.

It took a little while, and mommy jumping in, for the Trioux to warm up to the pool, but once they got used to it. They had a great time. All three splashed and jumped all over. It was fun just watching them. I am pretty sure we will be getting out in the pool more than we did last year.

FIRST TIME AT THE ZOO

We were actually planning on having a quiet weekend at home with no plans at all for the first time in as long as I can remember, but one of Crystal's coworkers invited the Trioux to the Zoo for their little girls birthday party. On Friday night we talked about it and agreed that it would be a good opportunity to take them and we couldn't pass it up. It was all paid for so we didn't have to worry about dropping $60 or $70 for their first trip.

We got there around 10:00 and the weather was PERFECT! Everyone meet at the flag pole to wait for our little guide. Here are all the ids that went to the part.

Silly Kate eating her snack and a little ice cream
Sweet little Addi Jack could not get enough veggie straws!
The Triouxs first Merry Go Round. Addi and Jack sat with Mommy and seemed to enjoy it.
Addi hung out with Daddy of course. We had fun riding the Lion.
After riding the Merry Go Round, we ventured out to look at all the animals and go check out the Train ride.
It was pretty hot out so we had to keep the Trioux hydrated. This little Trioux LOVES cold water.
Kate rode with me on the Train. We had a great time looking at all the animals.
Addi and Jack rode with Mommy
Mommy and the Trioux

Who is that handsome devil with those three little Angels? Elephant
Rhinos

Addi was very intent in finding all the animals
Zebra
Their favorite, the Giraffes and gazelle
The Trioux actually asked me to take this picture.
Kate's favorites, the turtles! She kept pointing and yelling.
Mommy walking "down" the hill with her Trioux

The Trioux did so good that after we left the Zoo we took them to lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings for some wings and fries. Ok, maybe it was grilled cheese, chicken tenders and corn dogs, but they were very good and we had a great day. They slept all the way home and went straight to sleep when it was time for bed!
